Mechanical Technician
Hy-Energy has an employment opportunity for the right candidate as mechanical Technician. Hy-Energy provides specialized instrumentation for measuring and analyzing gas-adsorption materials in renewable energy, primarily for Hydrogen Energy Research, with the view to expand into other industries.

Wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Painting, cleaning, and prepping components for our products
- Mechanical assembly of basic hardware
- Assisting electro/mechanical technicians and engineers in the laboratory
- Setting up hardware for experimentation/calibration
- Maintaining lab inventory
- Packaging products for delivery

Requirements:
-Jack of all trades that is detail-oriented and very mechanically inclined
-Must have a working knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools, and a demonstrated ability to use them
-Able to solve practical problems and carry out activities under general supervision
-Must be very reliable, self motivated, and have strong work ethic
-Must be able to lift 50lbs (occasionally)
-Above all must me honest, ethical, and have a positive “can do” attitude
-Minimum 2yrs experience in this field or equivalent in education relative to this line of work.
-Must take pride in his/her work and approach situations with a “Do it right the 1st time” attitude and know that shortcuts are not solutions.

Desired
-Experience using table saws, miter saws, belt sanders, band saws, milling machines, lathes, soldering irons, and multi-meters.
-Experience with compressed gasses (Argon, Helium, Hydrogen, etc.)
This is a part-time / full-time position (25-40hrs/week). Pay is hourly DOE and compensation will be determined based on experience. This is a Monday – Friday position that needs to be filled immediately. The ideal candidate is either a recent graduate or is taking classes part-time and willing to work the hours requested.
